An opportunity has become available for an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to join a well-established organisation and work closely with its Sales and broader commercial teams. This is a hands-on role focused on providing meaningful commercial insight, influencing business decisions and helping drive improved financial and operational performance.
 
The role will suit someone who is experienced in partnering directly with business leaders and using financial analysis to influence decisions rather than simply reporting on results.
 
What you’ll be doing

• Partner closely with Sales and operational leaders to provide commercial insight and support business decisions;

• Deliver meaningful analysis across sales performance, customers, categories, pricing and profitability;

• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, identifying risks and opportunities to improve performance;

• Provide commercial support around sales contracts, pricing decisions and capital expenditure;

• Monitor sales-related costs, expenditure and profitability, providing recommendations to senior stakeholders;

• Work directly with business leaders to challenge performance, influence decision-making and drive commercial outcomes;

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and stronger commercial reporting and insights; and

• Maintain appropriate financial controls and governance while supporting a fast-moving commercial environment.

What we’re looking for

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related discipline;

• Minimum 5 years' commercial finance experience, ideally within a complex or multi-site organisation;

• Strong background in commercial finance and business partnering, with the ability to work directly with Sales or other Operational teams;

• Demonstrated commercial acumen with the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders; and

• Advanced Excel skills, with Microsoft D365 and BI experience advantageous.
