As Digital Program Director, you will lead a digital transformation that will influence service delivery improvement to a workforce of 800 across the state, who rely on a variety of legacy, standalone systems, every day, to make decisions and guide regulatory assessments and interact with their customers.
The services delivered to customers generate a rich array of data which could be more effectively utilised to offer better strategic decision making, and complex economic opportunity insights – to the business and customers. There is a need for consolidation of effort and customer point of entry – within a constrained budget environment.
You will Program Manage large-scale digital, data and platform initiatives including the modernisation of multiple legacy systems into a singular platform. This program of work is a transformational journey and opportunity to guide the staged delivery of a variety of system and digital improvements.
These developments will allow the business to move to a more customer focused, consolidated system base, which will feed into broad organsiational (low code) strategies.
The immediate asks of this role involve you harnessing SME intelligence and utilise a small team to develop a Digital Roadmap and work plan - engaging with staff to develop and understand business requirements.
This role will 24 month salaried engagement, with potential of extension:
$190,387 to $199,204 total remuneration package;
Digital, data and operational uplift at scale;
Flexible work arrangements and hybrid work environment, based in Brisbane; and
Mandate to build and execute a strategic ICT roadmap.
As the Digital Program Director, you will:
Providing strategic advice on ICT priorities, budgets, and risks, managing vendor relationships and contractual negotiations, and ensuring robust governance frameworks;
Collaboration with the Chief Digital Officer and fostering strong stakeholder relationships across the division to delivering seamless integration and successful outcomes;
Continuous improvement in ICT governance, data management, and organisational change management to support the Division’s vision and operational priorities;
Develop and implement a division-wide ICT roadmap aligned with departmental and whole of government strategies to uplift capability and support legislative and operational objectives;
Oversee significant digital and data platform enhancements, ensuring best-practice solution architecture, hosting environments, security protocols and infrastructure design;
Lead multi-stream ICT programs, managing dependencies, risks and stakeholder engagement to ensure integrated, high-quality delivery outcomes; and
Foster a workplace culture that values collaboration, innovation, inclusion and high performance, contributing to improved outcomes for Queensland communities.
About you
Proven experience program managing large, multi-stream digital or ICT programs:
Ability to translate strategy into delivery, managing competing priorities, dependencies, and risk;
Experience delivering transformation across complex enterprise or government environments;
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement ICT strategies / roadmaps; and
Strong capability in building and maintaining program governance, reporting and risk frameworks.
Strong background in:
Legacy system decommissioning;
Platform consolidation;
Digital and data platform uplift; and
Working across mixed technical and information datasets.
