A large, purpose-led Not-for-Profit organisation is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and uplift its technology function during a period of strong organisational growth and transformation.
This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to shape technology capability, governance, and delivery from the ground up.
Reporting to the CFO (currently acting as CIO), the IT Manager will take ownership of the organisation’s technology function, balancing hands-on delivery with strategic leadership.
You will lead a small internal team and manage external vendors, while supporting a geographically dispersed workforce that includes regional staff and volunteer groups.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing technology leadership, governance, and direction;
Uplifting and modernising existing systems and platforms;
Developing IT policies, frameworks, and governance structures;
Strengthening risk management and operational maturity;
Overseeing a 100% cloud-based environment and SaaS platforms;
Supporting multi-site operations and mobile/remote users; and
Partnering closely with senior stakeholders to align technology with organisational goals.
Technology Environment
Fully cloud-based systems;
Multiple SaaS platforms (CRM, HRIS, workforce and collaboration tools);
Strong cyber security posture with an active Cyber Security Roadmap; and
Opportunity to improve integrations, standardisation, and user experience.
About You
You are a pragmatic IT leader who enjoys building structure, capability, and confidence in developing environments.
You will bring:
Proven experience in IT leadership or IT management roles;
Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and SaaS platforms;
Experience uplifting technology maturity, governance, and processes;
Ability to work with both internal teams and external vendors;
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills;
Experience in the NFP or charity sector (highly regarded); and
Confidence working with volunteer groups and non-technical users.
A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites is essential.
The organisation is targeting a New Year start.
