About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a well-regarded, full-service law firm based in the Brisbane CBD. Supporting a busy Corporate & Commercial practice, this role will see you working closely with senior lawyers and Partners on a broad range of quality matters across private and public sector clients.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys being embedded in the practice, taking ownership of their work, and contributing to a collaborative, professional team environment. The firm is known for its strong culture, pragmatic approach, and commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for clients.
Role Responsibilities
Providing high-level legal and administrative support to Partners and senior lawyers within the Corporate & Commercial team;
Drafting, formatting and amending legal documents and correspondence;
Managing matter files, including document management and version control;
Coordinating diaries, meetings and client communications;
Assisting with billing, time recording and matter administration;
Liaising with clients, internal stakeholders and external service providers; and
Supporting the team to ensure matters are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally within Corporate, Commercial or a comparable practice area;
Proven experience supporting Partners and senior stakeholders;
Strong document production skills with high attention to detail;
Confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner;
Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities; and
A collaborative team player who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
