How you will contribute:
As National Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of the payroll function across multiple sites, driving accuracy, compliance and operational excellence while leading a high-performing team.
Lead the payroll operations function, including approvals, reconciliations, and reporting;
Acting as the escalation point for complex payroll matters and sensitive employee cases;
Ensuring compliance with legislation, awards, Enterprise Agreements, contracts, and company policies;
Overseeing payroll systems, upgrades, integrations, and governance;
Driving process improvements, automation, and best-practice payroll design;
Advising Finance, HR, and site leadership on payroll, entitlements, and workforce matters; and
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
What we’re looking for:
Team leadership and the ability to manage deadlines;
Expertise in payroll legislation, awards, Enterprise Agreements, and compliance;
Experience with payroll systems governance and optimisation (SAP, Kronos / UKG / or similar);
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and drive improvements;
Excellent communication skills for briefing senior leaders;
Audit and compliance experience; and
Change management experience with system upgrades or national rollouts.
