We are delighted to be partnering with a leading global franchise organisation on the search for a Paralegal to join their in-house legal team in Brisbane.
Operating hundreds of stores across Australia, New Zealand and internationally, this organisation’s legal team plays a key role in supporting franchise operations, commercial transactions and regulatory compliance, providing exposure to franchise agreements, store transactions and a broad range of legal matters.
About the Role
As Paralegal, you will provide vital support to the legal team and internal stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring that franchise operations, contracts and compliance matters run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate store transaction files from start to settlement;
Prepare and support legal documentation;
Assist with preparation and issuance of Disclosure Documents for Franchise Partners;
Conduct legal research across consumer law, employment law, intellectual property and franchise regulation;
Monitor compliance with national and state regulatory requirements;
Assist with dispute resolution between the organisation and franchise partners; and
Maintain accurate records, contracts and compliance databases.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised, detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in accuracy and enjoy seeing transactions and agreements through from start to finish.
Essential Experience & Competencies:
Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Administrator;
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and time management;
Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement; and
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal research tools and contract management systems.
Desirable:
Bachelor of Laws or legal studies background (current students are encouraged to apply); and
Experience in corporate or franchise legal environments.
