Federal Hospitality is a proudly family-owned Tasmanian organisation with a diverse portfolio spanning casinos, premium hotels, a luxury 6-star resort, pubs, and leisure. With over 2,000 employees across the state, we are looking for an experienced WHS Manager to lead the safety and wellbeing function and shape the future of safety across the business.
Based in picturesque Tasmania, as the WHS Manager, you will work in an autonomous leadership role offering broad scope, executive access, and the opportunity to build capability, systems, and culture across a complex operational environment. Furthermore, you will:
Lead and develop Federal Hospitality’s health, safety, and injury management programs;
Oversee a team of WHS Business Partners and the Injury Management/RTW team dispersed across the state;
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements;
Develop and improve processes, procedures, and reporting systems to elevate safety performance;
Conduct audits and investigations, providing pragmatic solutions and coaching to operational teams;
Utilise key trends and insights to develop and inform future WHS strategy and specialised programs; and
Partner, mentor, and upskill leaders across casinos, hotels, pubs, and clubs to embed a proactive safety culture.
What We’re Looking For:
Substantial WHS experience (6–10+ years), including leadership of teams and operational engagement;
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in WHS and injury management;
Analytical, strategic, and practical capability to drive change in a diverse operational environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills to influence senior stakeholders and engage frontline teams; and
Commitment to continuous improvement, compliance, and a “safety first” culture.
A willingness to relocate to Tasmania.
